Cameron Ashouripour
Partner
Cameron (Cam) Ashouripour is a dual-qualified attorney (Washington D.C.) and solicitor (England & Wales) who specialises in high-stakes international disputes and crisis resolution. Over the past decade he has acted for sovereign governments, multinational corporations and high-profile individuals in some of the most complex cross-border matters of recent years.
Cam develops multidisciplinary strategies that sit at the intersection of litigation, geopolitics and regulatory enforcement. He regularly appears before US and UK courts and in investor-state and commercial arbitrations under ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC and LCIA rules. His arbitration work has encompassed sovereign debt, natural resources, energy contracts and claims of state expropriation. He has defended governments and corporate clients against politically motivated claims, secured substantial settlements and enforced awards in difficult jurisdictions.
He has extensive experience defending politically exposed persons and corporate executives in politically charged criminal matters involving fraud, bribery and money laundering. A significant part of his practice involves challenging abusive INTERPOL Red Notices and extradition requests, and advising on the misuse of international legal mechanisms for political or economic ends.
Cam also advises on global sanctions regimes (OFAC and OFSI), including compliance, enforcement risk and delisting strategies, together with related asset recovery, freezing orders and regulatory investigations.
Prior to joining Rosenblatt Law as Partner, Cam founded Ashouripour Law and was previously a Partner at Amsterdam & Partners LLP. He holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University and a business degree from The Ohio State University. He is fluent in English, Farsi and French.
