Sara Paradisi is a Partner and co-head of the firm’s International Arbitration practice, with more than 18 years’ experience advising on and resolving complex, high-value international commercial and construction disputes.
Sara has extensive experience acting as counsel and advocate in international arbitration proceedings under all major institutional and ad hoc rules, including the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC and UNCITRAL Rules. Her work spans disputes across Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and Asia and includes proceedings involving complex contractual interpretation, factual and expert evidence, and quantum assessment.
Sara’s practice includes a strong focus on construction, infrastructure and energy arbitration, with experience under FIDIC Red, Yellow and Silver Book contracts, as well as bespoke EPC, EPCM and design-and-build contracts, long-term supply agreements, joint ventures and concession arrangements. Her experience includes disputes relating to delay and disruption, extensions of time, prolongation and acceleration costs, defects, variations, termination, payment and final account issues.
Alongside her construction and infrastructure work, Sara advises on international commercial disputes across a range of sectors, including distribution and agency arrangements, supply and licensing agreements, fashion and consumer brands, and complex cross-border commercial relationships.
Sara also advises on dispute avoidance and claims strategy on live projects and ongoing commercial arrangements, including early entitlement analysis, management of contractual notices and time bars, change management, and pre-dispute positioning.
Sara is available to accept appointments as arbitrator in international commercial arbitration and construction arbitration, including appointments as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator or chair, subject to availability and conflicts. She brings a practical, independent and procedurally rigorous approach to arbitral appointments, informed by extensive experience as counsel in complex proceedings involving factual and expert evidence, quantum analysis and procedural case management.
Sara is a Solicitor Advocate with rights of audience in the higher courts and is also called to the Bar of England and Wales. Prior to joining Rosenblatt, she spent 15 years in the Construction Disputes and International Arbitration team at BCLP, practising in both London and Singapore.
